Our client is a family owned and run Mechanical & Electrical engineering services company with industry experience in excess of 50 years.
Key Features
- Located in Wetherill Park
- Temp to Perm position
- $55 per hour, plus overtime penalty rates
- 12 hour rotating shift roster
- 6am - 6pm shifts
- Occasional night shift for shutdown
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Perform mechanical maintenance activities including breakdown, preventive, planned and unscheduled work as well as minor project work to achieve plant up time
- Troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment to ensure breakdowns are reduced
- Achievement of KPI's
- Parts ordering
- Computer maintenance management systems (MEX)
- Read and understand Mechanical drawings and work orders
- Set and operate precision metal cutting and grinding machines to fabricate and repair parts
To be successful in this role
- Experience as a fitter/machinist with plant machinery
- Mechanical Fitter Trade certificate
- Current yellow card
- Current working at heights and confined spaces tickets
- Current first aid certificate
- Current valid drivers licence
- Ability to pass a police check and medical
- Reliable transport to and from site
- Friendly and can-do attitude
