About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Office Department Manager to lead our team and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all technical office activities. This key role will ensure that technical drawings, specifications, and documents meet project requirements while maintaining industry standards. You will play an essential role in facilitating communication across various teams, ensuring efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor the technical office team, developing departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve technical drawings, designs, and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, supply chain, methods, and other teams to align technical aspects of projects and provide ongoing technical support.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations; implement quality control processes.
- Resource Management: Optimise resource allocation and provide professional development opportunities to your team.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports, updates, and recommendations for senior management while acting as the primary point of contact for technical office-related inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in technical office roles, including at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, Excel, VBA, and project management tools.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrialisation, production processes, and technical standards.
