A leadership opportunity has become available with Australia's largest marketer of LPG. Our client, operating on a national level, is now seeking a highly experienced individual to join one of their depot locations in Rockhampton as their new operations Supervisor. This position is a long-term career move and is the gateway to a career path with unlimited opportunities.
About the position:
As an operations Supervisor for the depot, your position purpose is to supervise and ensure the safe and efficient operations throughout the facility. The successful applicant will have a strong background in a similar leadership role with a strong focus on safety. You will ideally have experience in the transport industry or the manufacturing / production industry.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supervisor operational staff in accordance with site safety and daily production requirements.
- Monitor stock of consumables for reorder / restock as required.
- Supervise filling and testing of LPG cylinders.
- Assume duties associated with site emergency warden including evacuation drills.
- Assist with onboarding new staff and training as required.
- Manage day to day activities and allocation of workload to drivers and deliveries.
- Manage all matters of safety in the workplace.
- Ensure productivity is maintained meeting all targets and deadlines as required.
What you will need: - 5 years minimum experience in a similar role with leadership level background.
- Proven safety leadership.
- Proven ability to manage a team successfully.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working autonomously
- Broad understanding of LPG processes highly regarded
- Background in the transport industry considered an advantage
- Cert 4 in Training & Assessment highly desirable
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol testing
